Final render

These are the initial exploration sketches. I was experimenting with color at this stage as well.

I liked the feel of number two the most. It fit into the look I was going for. These are the variations.

Here is the final along with some reference i used for the final design. I liked the idea of the rocky spikes from the variations and chose the colors that best fitted a creature living near lava.
